My family and I went on two different tours with Almudena ("Almu"). It was my wife, and two daughters (ages 18 and 14). The first tour was a three hour walking tour of Madrid.

When she came to meet us at our hotel, we told her we were worried we wouldn't have enough time during our trip to see the Prado. She was very flexible and changed up the itinerary at the last second so she could take us to the highlights of the Prado. She was knowledgeable, kept the pace fast so we never got bored, and pointed out details in the museum we never would have known. She also took us to stores and markets to local artisans and helped buy local food for picnic.

We had a second tour with Almu that we enjoyed even more, that was the tapas tour of madrid. She taught us about tapas; not the kinds you see at every touristy restaurant, but ones that are found in restaurants and bars frequented by locals. The food was delicious and Almu's tour was informative.

Almu's English was very good, she had a good sense of humor and tailored the tours to our needs. It felt more like being with a friend than being on a tour. She was great.
