Madrid's Tapas Culture Testimonials

Almudena is both an advanced scholar of art history and also a clear, easy-to-understand, warmly engaging, and gifted teacher.

At the Prado, she pointed out details we never would have noticed, but in a way that made us see the "alive-ness" of the paintings.

With the tapas, we had an unforgettable "tour of tastes," in the tradition of a having a different single food or drink at each of several places, where we had the kind of conversations that make strangers into friends.

And the history tour was unique for how she illustrated it from a portfolio of documents from the times, including some from her personal family history.

Our family of three loved the morning we spent with Almudena. She was wonderful company and hand crafted our tour especially for us. She made it interesting for our 10-year old as well as fun for us.

The tapas part of our tour was the best - we never would have found those special tapas places without her!

Thank you, Almudena; we take home wonderful memories of Madrid because of you!

We booked 3 tours w/ Almudena -- walking tour of madrid, a tapas and wine tour (YUMMMMMM!!) and a day trip to Toledo! Not only was her tour informative and truly delightful - Almu is truly a special person!

She taught us so much and that info led us to truly better appreciate what we saw with and without her (she also gave us lots of advice of what to do/see/eat when on our own!

If you are looking for a truly wonderful tour -- one which she will mold to your interests and then some.... stop looking and book her now!

My only regret is that we didn't have more time to book the Civil War Tour as well! She is a true pro and a true historian!
