Before the end of the Summer holidays, I searched for a cultural activity for my sons in Madrid before they returned to school.  I found this guided visit on the internet and decided to book it together with a friend that has 2 children of the same age as mine.  Although we were not a family, this company accepted it as a family group, which is great, so we shared the cost between the 2 of us. 

The four children really enjoyed completing the activity booklet which is very well thought out for the itinerary around the historic quarter in Madrid.  Also, even though this is geared towards the children, the adults appreciated it because we learned many new facts about the city where we live.  We had walked past these streets before without stopping to take a good look, and now we know a bit more about Madrid. 

Almudena's patience is remarkable, and she has a great way with kids, she has a speacial gift to be able to connect with them, and as soon as we can, we will book the Prado for Children tour with her.  It was a great morning!

After an intensive search on the internet to figure out how to spend Father´s Day in a different manner with my 6 year-old daughter in Madrid, avoiding overcrowded activities or commercial gimmicks, I was lucky to find Across Madrid, and my experience could not have been more positive.  

Almudena managed to connect with my daughter and I from the very start, and we both learned a lot thanks to her.  My daughter´s evaluation at the end of this tour cannot be more clear: 'Dad, this has been a great adventure.'

I will certainly repeat on other occasion, because Across Madrid has a very interesting variety of tours on offer.

We took the Bear Discovery tour with 4 kids ages 2-6 (plus a baby in a stroller). The kids absolutely loved it!

They will never forget that the bear is the symbol of Madrid and are still talking about all the fun things they spotted!

Almudena was super attentive, knowledgeable and accommodating with the kids' pace and needs.
